Founded in 1990 by plastic surgeon Dr. Des Fernandes, Environ pioneered vitamin A skincare with its Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM: start low, go slow, and build healthier-looking skin over time.
Environ is built on one idea: healthy skin needs vitamin A, and daily life, especially the sun, takes it away. Every Environ routine replenishes it, together with vitamin C, antioxidants and peptides, introduced gradually so the skin can adapt.

Environ was founded in 1990 by Dr. Des Fernandes, a plastic surgeon in Cape Town, South Africa. He saw how sun exposure depletes the skin of vitamin A, and set out to create skincare that gives it back. More than three decades later, vitamin A remains at the heart of every Environ range.
Environ's Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM introduces vitamin A gradually. You begin with the lowest concentration and move up a level once your skin is comfortable, usually after two or three bottles. Combined with vitamin C, antioxidants and peptides, this steady approach helps the skin build its tolerance and get the most from every step.
Alongside the daily vitamin A routine, the Focus Care ranges target one concern at a time: Clarity+ for blemish-prone skin, Moisture+ for dehydration, Radiance+ for uneven tone, Youth+ for advanced aging and Comfort+ for stressed, sensitive skin. They can be added at any stage of the STEP-UP SYSTEM.

Most people start with Skin EssentiA: a cleanser and the first level of the AVST moisturizer. If you are already used to vitamin A, Youth EssentiA offers a more advanced step-up. Our estheticians can recommend the right starting level at either spa.
