Every season asks something different from the skin.
Fall always feels like a return to routine. The air changes, the light changes, long afternoons at the farmers market replace summer weekends away, and we start reaching for an extra layer before leaving the house.
I think about the skin in much the same way.
After summer, I start to look at what needs to be repaired, where we can do a little more, and where the skin is asking for more nourishment. Maybe you are adding a cashmere sweater before you walk out the door. Maybe your skin needs another layer too—a richer serum, a more nourishing cream, a hydrating mask.
Fall is when I begin to get more ambitious with the skin. We can introduce more corrective treatments, exfoliate more thoughtfully, and bring richer formulas back into the routine.
But more does not mean changing everything.
I always start with the skin in front of me. Keep what is working, adjust what is not, and add only what the skin is asking for. Sometimes one or two small changes are enough to completely change how the skin looks and feels.
Why fall is the time to do more
Summer is a season of protection and maintenance. In fall, we can begin to address what summer may have left behind and prepare the skin for the colder months ahead.
This is what I think of as peel season.
With less intense sun exposure, we can begin introducing more corrective treatments and more purposeful exfoliation. Depending on the skin, that might mean a peel, a deeper treatment at the spa, or simply adjusting the way you exfoliate at home.
But when we ask more from the skin, we also have to give more back.
This is when I increase hydration, introduce richer serums and creams, and pay closer attention to how the skin is responding. Think of it like getting dressed for fall: sometimes all you need is one more good layer.
I never believe aggressive means careless. A peel should be chosen for your skin, your history, and what we are trying to accomplish. There is no one treatment or routine that is right for everyone.
The goal is not to do as much as possible. It is to know when the skin is ready to do more.
Three products I’m loving for fall
There are certain products I naturally find myself returning to as the weather changes. Right now, these are three of them.
Mansard Serum N°24 Hydration Cellulaire
Valmont Hydra³ Mask
These are simple changes, but that is often the point. A good routine should evolve with your skin, not fight against it.
Your fall treatment is also a consultation
Fall is one of my favorite times to come into the spa.
We can be a little more ambitious now—whether that means introducing a peel, addressing what summer left behind, or simply giving the skin the deeper attention it needs before winter.
But your appointment is not only about what happens in the treatment room.
Talk to your esthetician. Bring your questions. Tell us what you are using at home, what you love, what you have stopped using, and what you want to work on.
We can decide together what kind of treatment makes sense for your skin and how your home routine should change alongside it. We can help you understand what to keep, what to introduce, and just as importantly, what your skin does not need.
I love fall because it reminds us that change does not have to be dramatic. We put on another layer. We cook differently. We spend a little more time at home. And we give the skin a little more of what it needs.
Beautiful skin is a relationship. As the seasons change, your routine should change with them.
Big Hug,
Aida
