Start With Ice Water — Not Cleanser
Most people reach for a cleanser first. I reach for a bowl of ice water.
Submerge your face and come up fast. Repeat a few times. The cold contracts your capillaries, tightens the skin, and forces circulation. It's a shock — and that's exactly the point. This is how skin wakes up. Not gently.
If you've been puffy, tired, or inflamed from the week, this step alone will change your face.
Treat Your Skin Type, Not Someone Else's
This is where the protocol splits. Your Sunday treatment should be targeted, not generic.
For oily skin, acne-prone skin, or enlarged pores
Reach for the salicylic acid toner from Nescens. Congested skin needs acid, not more hydration. Don't be afraid of it.
For uneven skin tone or pigmentation
Lotion P50 Pigm 400 by Biologique Recherche is your treatment. Formulated specifically for hyperpigmentation, it works on the surface and deeper layers of the skin simultaneously. Apply after cleansing and let it absorb fully before masking.
For mature skin or loss of firmness
Masque Biofixine is non-negotiable. Leave it on for thirty minutes, minimum. Apply around the eye contour — that area is often skipped and it shouldn't be.
The One Mask That Works for Almost Everyone
If you want a single recommendation: the Nescens gel mask.
Apply it cold. Massage it into the skin rather than sitting it on top. Leave it on. I often wear mine through the morning — it absorbs, it works, it doesn't need to come off.
Why Sunday Is the Right Day for This
The week accumulates. Pollution, stress, sleep debt, product buildup — all of it settles into the skin. Sunday gives you the time and the stillness to actually address it.
A targeted Sunday protocol isn't a luxury. It's maintenance. And the results compound.
